Planning a trip family trip for Christmas '22. What are the must do's for Christmas time at Disney and Disney in general? A few first time Disney goers will be attending!

Hiya Kelsie! Welcome to planDisney! Walt Disney World during the holidays is truly my favorite time of the year! There are so many wonderful options and activities for you to see and do with your family, and I will share some of my favorites with you!

Disney Springs is a wonderful place to shop, dine, and enjoy the Christmas tree stroll! There are 12 Christmas trees spread throughout the complex, each decorated differently. It's so fun walking around finding them all, and identifying the film the ornaments represent! I also recommend stopping at The Ganachery for some delicious chocolates that are made in the shop! They have some wonderful seasonal options, including gingerbread and cinnamon!

Disney's EPCOT Park is not only one of my favorite theme parks but during the holidays, it is truly magical! The holiday tree here is by far my favorite, a wonderful representation of the classic Christmas song "Joy to the World" with ornaments and decorations depicting the various nations represented at the World Showcase. Speaking of World Showcase, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is in full swing! There is a plethora is different food kiosks with cuisines from all around the world, and there is also the fun Holiday Cookie Stroll, where you can purchase a Festival Passport and purchase sweets from 5 different locations throughout the World Showcase! It's a fun activity for the entire family! In the evening, be sure to check out the fantastic Candlelight Processional, which features a celebrity narrator retelling the story of Christmas with music sung by a magnificent choir.

Last (but not least!) Disney's Magic Kingdom Park offers a special ticket event called Disney's Very Merriest After Hours, which provides you an extended visit to the Magic Kingdom, features the wonderful Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and even the fun Club Tinsel dance party in Tomorrowland! Best of all, the park is open only to ticket holders, so the lines are shorter, you'll have the chance to see classic and "rare" characters, and there are also some fun ice cream novelties and popcorn to eat as snacks in between rides and shows!

I hope I have answered your questions today, Kelsie! Have the merriest time visiting Walt Disney World during the holiday season! May all your wishes come true! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
