Hi Pamela!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel for help in planning your trip. We love to help!
Generally you'll find that the price of your Walt Disney World vacation is the same regardless of whether you choose to book directly yourself or via a travel agent. It really is more of a personal preference.
If you like to be really hands on with your vacation including making your
dining reservations (up to 180 days in advance for popular venues) and managing all the details, then booking directly via the
website or by calling (407) 939-5277 may be right for you. If you do book yourself, you'll want to keep an eye on the
Special Offers that may be announced (even after you book your stay). If a great deal is released, you'll often be able to add it to your reservation if your resort and room category are available.
But, if you'd prefer a more hands-off approach to your vacation, working with a Travel Agent who specializes in Walt Disney World vacations may be the best option for you. These agents can often give a bit more guidance, keep an eye on newly released Special Offers, and help make dining reservations. You'll have a bit less control over doing all of those things, but that can also mean less worry. The only thing to verify is that you look for a Walt Disney World specialist. They'll know the details that can really enhance your vacation, and hopefully save you money.
Either way you decide to book, I'm sure you'll have a perfect Walt Disney World vacation. And, don't forget the Disney Parks Moms Panel can help along the way too. Just let us know!
