Hi, Jennifer! What a great time to start planning. Some of our best vacations are ones that were well thought out and planned in advance. I'm not good at leaving things to chance - I'm a planner.
The
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels do have connecting rooms, however, they cannot be guaranteed. To request connecting rooms, you can call
407-939-1936 and have them indicate on your reservation that you would like connecting rooms. I will say that I know many people who have gotten this request, so I would be optimisitc about your chances, but they do not guarantee they can accommodate this type of request.
As for two bedrooms, you are talking to the right person. The Disney Vacation Club properties all have
deluxe villas that are available to anyone. The two bedroom villas have a master bedroom with a king sized bed and attached bathroom, then there is a second bedroom with two queen beds and an adjoining bathroom. Some even have a third bathroom. An added bonus to the villas is that they really are a home away from home type set up. You'll have a washer and dryer in the room, which can come in handy with a little one, and a full kitchen. You can't beat it for keeping breakfast and snack items handy and for having ice for a cold drink at the end of a long park day.
I also wanted to mention the
cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. These fully equipped rustic cabins have a full size bed, twin size bunk beds, and a murphy bed, which comfortably sleeps two adults. So cozy!
Happy planning, Jennifer!
