I am planning a trip this fall with my 3 y.o. daughter and my goal is to go during a "non-busy" week as it is no fun to stand in line with a toddler any more than you have too. I was looking at the week of October 5 - 12. Is anything going on?

    Hi Becki!

October is a great time to visit Walt Disney World! The summer's hot temperatures have cooled off a bit and crowds are generally lower than most other times of the year!

The first weekend in October (October 4 to 6) is home to Tower of Terror 10-Miler Weekend, which is a running race. This will raise crowds slightly on the 5th, but they will still be very low. The race does occur at night, so there is minimal impacts to daily park touring.

Other events occurring throughout the month include Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. The party is an awesome event that is a must-do for our family. It really shouldn't be missed!

The Food & Wine Festival at Epcot is a fun event too. This does tend to raise crowds around the World Showcase, especially on weekends.

I hope this information helps with your trip planning. It sounds like you may have settled on a week that will really work for you, as the crowds really should be pretty low. Please let the Moms Panel know if we can help with any additional planning details.
