We are planning a trip & very excited:)) We are trying to figure out time that would be low crowds & nice weather. Looking at going anytime between 2nd week in November-last week in February. When would be a good week with crowd levels, events &

    Hiya Diane,

Thank you for your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Planning a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is such an exciting and magical experience!

November is a great time to go because the parks are decorated for the holidays, all the lights and festive decor are beautiful. That usually is a busier time since a lot of Guests enjoy seeing the park decorated. The weather is also cooler in Florida which is nice when walking around the Walt Disney World Resort.

The Disney Parks will begin decorating mid-November for the Holidays but they have not released an official date for the jolly overlay yet. So the benefit if you choose mid-November and the Holiday decorations are up: you get to experience the Holiday decor, Holiday themed attractions, and typically the Disney Parks have longer operating hours. However, if you time it when the parks are still decorating for the Holidays, a couple of the attractions may be closed due to the Holiday overlay.

I am also partial to late February because I feel like most families will be back to work and their kids will be back in school so the parks will not be as crowded.

I would suggest visiting mid-week if you can, that will help with the crowd levels too. Whenever we are planning our next magical vacation to the Disney Parks, I often Google the dates I am contemplating booking like, "February 2014 Walt Disney World Crowd Calendar" to compare the links that come up.

I hope this helps and that you all have a pixie-dusted visit. If you have any more questions, please visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and let us know how we can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
