Hi.. am planning a trip for my entire family including my parents who are in their 80s. During the parades are there places where my Mom could sit and watch the parade? Should I bring one of those portable chairs with me?

    Hi Dee,

How is my native home state these days?

I have seen people bring the collapsible stool for use in the parks during the parade but not the collapsible chair.  Most seating for the parade is on the ground.  Just a tip-if you have your rain ponchos packed, use them on the ground so you do not get dirty.

However, if your Mom is renting a scooter, those can be brought right to the front for viewing the parade.

Also, in Magic Kingdom if you make an advance dining reservation at Tony's Town Square for 30 minutes before the parade and ask for outside table you will be able to see the parade and eat a late lunch or ice cream sundae.  The same trick works well for fireworks at California Grill for dinner or at Rose and Crown Dining in EPCOT for Illuminations.

Enjoy your trip with your parents!
