Thanks for visiting planDisney, Maria! Summer is one of my favorite times to visit Disney World! While generally perceived as a busy, crowded time of year, summer crowds can be manageable depending on which dates you choose to visit.
With the end of July and beginning of August timeframe you’ve selected, I would lean closer to August. Once the calendar turns to August, many families turn their attention to either starting school or getting ready for school. The summertime crowds begin to dissipate a bit at the beginning of August and then decline sharply once you get into the second and third weeks of August. So, if you’re planning a summer visit, that might be a great time to go!
Maria, if you’re planning a beginning-of-August visit, I’d like to make a special recommendation!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins on August 7! This separately ticketed event allows you to become a Guest of Mickey and Minnie’s as they host a Halloween bash across Magic Kingdom! The Halloween party begins at 7:00 PM, but ticketholders can enter the park as early as 4:00 PM! I always recommend taking advantage of that great party perk! The party concludes, you guessed it, at midnight!
Guests, in costumes or not, can trick-or-treat through Magic Kingdom! There is also Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade (running twice during the party) and a special Halloween-themed fireworks show! Of course, Mickey, Minnie, and all their pals will be dressed in their Halloween costumes to join the fun!
Tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are available now on the
Disney World website! Also, Maria, don't forget to check out the great
money-saving-offers currently available for late-summer visits, including July and August! There are some great deals available for that time!
Dreams do come true!
