I am planning a trip to DW (3 Day Park Hopper) over New Years. I am trying to lock in my daily park reservations but am having a hard time determining where will be best to go and when. Will there be any special events/ additional firework shows?

Welcome to planDisney, Sydney! Thanks for stopping by planDisney to ask your Walt Disney World vacation planning questions.

I am so excited that you are heading to Walt Disney World on December 30, during my favorite time of year! I love the holiday decorations, especially the huge Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which has returned this year, better than ever (yay!). Since this resort is a quick monorail trip from Magic Kingdom, I would definitely recommend going over there to see it. You also might check out the Gingerbread Carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, which is a quick walk from EPCOT. I can't wait to see this next week on my holiday visit!

Walt Disney World parks will be back to regularly scheduled evening events when you arrive. You can count on seeing Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom nightly at 8:00pm, except for December 30 & 31, where the show is scheduled for 6:30pm. I am guessing this is due to New Year’s Eve eve and New Year’s Eve festivities. You will want to check your MyDisneyExperience mobile app for the daily events happening, as they are not posted on the website. On the app, from the main screen, select the three lines in the lower right corner. Then select “Park Hours & Info” in the left column and then “today” to see all the happenings for that day.
