Hi Jennifer!
Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!
For many years, guests could go trick or treating in Downtown Disney. However, Disney stopped that a couple of years ago and I personally don't think it will be back this year; however, Disney has not confirmed or denied that. There is really no where else to go trick or treating than the Magic Kingdom as part of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.
The party is a lot of fun. There is also a special fireworks show and parade. Personally, it is my favorite hard ticketed event in Walt Disney World. It is relatively expensive, but worth it. It will be crowded on Halloween night, but it will be a unique experience. The memories will last a lifetime. If you go, I would dine ahead of time in Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom.
If you decide to skip the party, then I recommend one of the following for a romantic dinner:
- California Grill on top of the Contemporary
- Citricos in the Grand Floridian
- Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge
- Jiko in the Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Victoria and Albert's in the Grand Floridian
- Bistro de Paris in the France Pavilion in Epcot
I hope this helps! Please write back with more questions!
