    Hi, I am planning a trip to Disneyworld in August 2014. It states that Magic Kingdom is closing at 7:00 PM on 8/29/14 and I can not find anyone to tell me why. This is a Friday night and it seems a bit out of the ordinary. Any insight? Thank you

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you for bringing us your question.

    Walt Disney World park hours adjust as crowd levels ebb and flow. The late August/early September time frame is when school go back in session meaning the crowds start to diminish.

    I did a little snooping and found that this adjustment to park hours typical. Last year, the Magic Kingdom began closing at 7:00 p.m. several nights per week in late August. This adjustment was in place though October.
