Planning 1st trip to Disney. We're a young couple trying to plan. How long should we schedule time for eating at table service meals/quick service? If reservation is for 8 would an hour usually get us in and out of restaurant by 9? 30min for quick service?

    Hi Jamie,

Great question and I love how you are planning a couples trip! I love going just with my husband!

I would say you are correct for the dining times you have listed above. Table service is usually an hour for most but Disney will not rush you. Also, if you are going with an appetizer and dessert, you might need more time as well. However, if you are at a signature restaurant like The Flying Fish or Jiko-The Cooking Place, you might need 90 minutes. Without knowing the restaurant or the time of year you are touring, I can not say 100% that you will be out in 60 minutes for an 8:00 pm reservation.

For counter service, 30 minutes usually is enough time to order, find a table and eat.

Remember, if you are going during a busier time of the year, you want to go with longer times. Also, if you are traveling to the restaurant, you may need to budget travel time. Some of the best restaurants are in the resorts and they are worth the trip!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
