Hi! We are planning to trip to Disneyland in Sept and the hotel we're looking at is near the parking garage. Can we walk to the garage and use a tram to get to the main entrance or do we have to pay to park to use the tram? thank you!

    Hi Catherine!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You couldn't have planned the timing of your trip any more perfectly because you'll be there just in time to experience my favorite attraction, Haunted Mansion Holiday!

Guests are welcome to use the parking tram from the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure without paying for parking. If you are staying nearby you are welcome to walk and use the tram, which will drop you off just outside the main esplanade in the Downtown Disney District. My only recommendation would be to confirm that there is a safe walking path for you to access the garage. I know looking at a map it seems like a relatively simple walk, but in my experience there isn't always a safe way to get into the structure because there aren't defined pathways. You may find it easier to simply use a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft or even take the Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) System. If you were to call the specific hotel you are considering, they may be able to give their best recommendation as well!

Please come back if we can help in any other way!
