I love an excellent entertainment question – thanks, Johanna!
When I visit the
Happiest Place on Earth, my family and I love to focus our attention in the morning and early afternoon on attractions and save the evening and nighttime for entertainment (and snacks too). My favorite show is
Fantasmic! Whenever I can gather the energy to stay long enough for the second show, that is my favorite.
Disneyland Park is much emptier during the second showing, and it’s typically easier to hop into a short attraction line afterward.
The entertainment schedule for October 2022 is not available yet. However, I do have some logical guesses that may help you make a decision. Throughout the year, regardless of the season, Fridays and weekends are usually a safe bet for at least one of the major shows, if not all of them (weather conditions permitting). Switching gears to weekdays -- I feel like most weekdays in October will have at least one major nighttime spectacular, especially the closer it is to Halloween when visitors are excited to visit Disneyland Resort. The one exception I would say is any night where the
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party is being held at Disney California Adventure Park. Not only will that park close early on those nights, but there will be no
World of Color for standard admission.
And while you are having a
spooktacular time this October with shows, don’t forget to check out the characters.
Mickey and the gang will be dressing up in their Howl-day bests throughout all of October.
Hurry back,
Lola
