Welcome, Amy, to planDisney!
As you may have heard, Disney Parks introduced a new
theme park reservation system back in 2021, requiring Guests visiting the Happiest Place on Earth to have both a
theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation. As of right now, there is no end date for the reservation system. Therefore, I’m unsure whether you and your party will need theme park reservations when you visit in 2024. Continue to check Disney news on sites like the
Disney Parks Blog to see if any changes do come to the reservation system at a later date.
What I can share is that if you’re planning this far in advance, it really does increase your chances of reserving the days that work best for you. At this moment, Guests can book reservations up to 120 days in advance, and with Disneyland Resort having a reputation of being more of a local’s vacation destination, most dates will be available if booked right when they become available.
And since you’re planning to visit far in the future, I want to share some exciting news.
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will receive a re-theming and become the new Pixar Pier Hotel. Stay tuned for more information on
Disney Parks Blog.
Happy planning,
Lola
