We are planning a trip to Disneyland at the end of 2023. We want to go for Christmas. Typically when will the parks be completely converted to Christmas-themed decorations?

Ho-Ho-Ho David and welcome back to planDisney!

What a perfect way to wrap up another year, by visiting Disneyland during the merriest time of the year! I will admit, I am not as experienced on this side of the map, but luckily I know a little about holiday decor. Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park make Clark Griswold look like The Grinch as both parks sparkle with massive trees, ornaments and twinkling lights. Additionally, Guests are treated to the annual tradition of an illuminated kaleidoscope of 50,000 lights transforming the exterior of It's a Small World. It is magical!

While the dates for the 2023 holiday season have yet to be announced, I can tell you that Mickey's elves typically deck the halls right around the second week of November. This year the holiday season begins November 11th and runs through January 8th. The exact dates are typically announced late summer and can always be checked at Events and Tours - Holiday Events. As you can imagine, the holidays are an extremely popular time to visit and reservations are already open for the Disneyland Resort Hotels during the 2023 holiday season. If you are waiting to confirm the holiday schedule before making reservations, I would select dates anytime from the middle of November to the first week of January and make your reservations soon.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any additional questions, please stop back and see any of the Disneyland experts in my planDisney family.
