We are planning a trip to Disneyland in December and want to get 4 day park tickets for Dec 4-7. On Dec 3, assuming there is availability, can we change our Dec 4 reservation to Dec 8? Based on how our trip is going we may want to start Disney 1 day late

    Hello there, Christopher!

It's a pleasure to see you again and welcome back to planDisney! I'm really excited for you to be visiting the Disneyland Resort over the Holidays! It's truly a beautiful time here at the Happiest Place on Earth and the Cast Members really go all out when they decorate. In fact, the planning and preparation process is a year-round endeavor! My sister has even made it an annual tradition for her family to visit and enjoy the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort!

Multi-day Theme Park Tickets must be used within 13 days of first use, so as long as you are within that window, you are free to change around your reservations as you'd like. In your specific case, it sounds like that should be fine but you are absolutely correct in stating that this will all depend on reservation availability. Thankfully, Disney recently changed the procedure so that you no longer have to cancel your reservation in order to move the date. If you do decide that you would like to move your reservation, just navigate to the "Tickets and Reservations" page and click on "Make or Modify Park Reservations." Find the reservation that you'd like to change and click on "Modify Reservation" (NOT Cancel Reservation!). Confirm the tickets for which you'd like to change and it will show you a list of available dates with open reservations. Select your new date and you should be good to go! You must do this before 11:59 p.m. PT on the night before the reservation.

In addition to all the Holiday decorations and festivities, you'll be able to visit some exciting recently added venues! San Fransokyo Square over in Disney California Adventure is set to open on August 31 and Tiana's Palace in Disneyland Park will open on September 7! Personally, I can't wait to sit down at Tiana's Palace with a House-filled Beignet and a Joffrey’s Coffee Chicory Cold Brew after a ride on Haunted Mansion Holiday

Christopher, I wish you the best as you continue to plan your magical vacation to the Disneyland Resort! We're always happy to help you as much as we are able, so feel free to stop on by again anytime. You're always welcome here at planDisney!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
