Welcome to planDisney, Miguel! I'm happy to help you plan a magical vacation for your family!
You are wise to start thinking about your finances ahead of time! With the cost of everything on the rise these days, travelers frequently need a plan to help make their expenses more manageable. While Disneyland Resort doesn't offer an official payment program, you can pay in installments when booking a
Vacation Package through the Walt Disney Travel Company. Reservations are usually available the year before you plan to travel, around August/September. You will need to place a deposit, and then you can make monthly payments; the nice thing is that there's no set payment schedule, so you can skip a month if needed. Your package must be paid in full 30 days before your arrival.
In the meantime, I would suggest getting familiar with the Disneyland website and
Disneyland Mobile app. A couple of questions for you to begin to consider are:
1. What time of year would you like to visit? Going during the summer is often the best choice for guests with school-aged kids. However, the holiday seasons (both
Halloween and
Christmas) are also an excellent time to enjoy the parks. You can enjoy seasonal attraction overlays, an abundance of decorations, holiday snacks, and themed entertainment.
2. Where would you like to stay? There are two types of accommodation to choose from:
Disneyland Resort hotels or the more budget-friendly
Good Neighbor hotels. If you want to stay in the "Disney bubble," the original
Disneyland Hotel would be my top pick!
I hope this helps, Miguel! If you need any more assistance along the way, you know where to find us!
