We're planning a trip to Disney World the 1st week of Oct. Fingers crossed for free dining! Do you suggest booking the room in advance? Our hearts are set on Wilderness Lodge, but as of now there is no availability. Should we just keep checking back?

    Hi Barbara!

How exciting that you are planning your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

Last year Disney released the dates for FREE dining in April. There is no guarantee that it will be offered again this year or that it will be during the same time of year, but using previous years' release dates are a good guide.

Definitely keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for announcements on discounts and promotions.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a great resort and you will love it there! Definitely keep checking back for availability. There is plenty of time before October, so a room will probably open up between now and then. You can also try playing around with the dates (if you have flexibility). You can also consider booking another resort, to get your dates locked in, and then modifying your reservation with a new resort as the dates nears and availability opens up. Consider looking at The Cabin's at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort as an alternative.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
