We are planning a trip to Disney World for our son’s birthday (he will turn 3 during the trip) and want to add the Dining Plan? Is he covered by the Dining Plan? If not is there is a way to add him to the Dining Plan since he does not require park tickets?

Welcome Ryan to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we are here to help and happy to do so.

Adding your son to the Disney Dining Plan will mean purchasing a ticket for him as well. You can pay for your son separately at each restaurant and he will be able to order off the kids menu.  Or children under the age of three can share from your plate.

In my opinion, it would be more cost effective to come out of pocket for each of his meals instead of adding him to the Disney Dining Plan, which as a result mean purchasing a Park Admission Ticket for him.

I hope this has been helpful and let me know if I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance and may your trip be filled with memorable and magical memories.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
