Hello, Audrea!
In my opinion, it's never too early to start planning a Walt Disney World vacation! October is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort because of two very special events:
- The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival may be in full swing during your visit. You can taste your way around the world while learning about the amazing culinary creations you sample, and even catch some live entertainment in the Eat to the Beat concert series.
- Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is held on select dates, giving your family the opportunity to meet with special Disney Characters and trick-or-treat Magic Kingdom Park. You are sure to have a spooktacular time!
Depending on the dates of your vacation, you may also encounter smaller crowd sizes and cooler weather than your typical summer visits, though that is difficult to predict in advance.
One big benefit of planning a Walt Disney World vacation well in advance is that you will have plenty of time to customize your trip to match your budget. Make sure to keep an eye on the Walt Disney World website and Disney Parks Blog for special offer announcements and vacation packages that are offered throughout the year, as well.
Mom Tip: When I am traveling on a tight budget, I like to plan out my meals in advance. It's an easy way to save money and ensure my family has a great mix of special experiences on our vacations. You can view current prices and menu items on the Dining Page to help with your planning.
I hope you have a magical Walt Disney World vacation, Audrea! If you have any more questions before your visit, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. We would love to hEAR from you!
