We are planning a trip to Disney world in March 2023. We don’t want to purchase the magic band. Is it possible to get a room key that would also allow us to enter the parks that we will pre pay for during our stay. I don’t want to rely on the app either.

Hiya, Cheryl! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for bringing your great question here today.

I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth this spring! You'll be able to experience the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration before it leaves at the end of March, which is a great way to have an extra special trip. Be sure to check out the Beacons of Magic in each of the parks, which light up the night in new and exciting ways!

Cheryl, if you prefer to not use a MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile service, or the My Disney Experience app, I'm happy to let you know that you can request a Key to the World card at the front desk when you check in at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. This card will allow you to tap into the parks and unlock your Disney Resort hotel door with a swipe of this card. Picture it like a pocket-sized magic wand! While you can't add funds to a Key to the World card, I would suggest picking up a few Disney Gift Cards to make payments throughout your trip! You may even be able to purchase gift cards at a discount at select retail stores.

I hope I was able to answer your question today, Cheryl! If anything else pops up, please feel free to write to us again. After all – you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
