Hi, Jim! December is a wonderful month to visit Walt Disney World Resort! The weather is practically perfect and there are so many festive events happening. Attending
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a great way to welcome in the holiday season, but it is a bit too soon to know the exact details of this year's event. Based on previous years' party dates, it should be held at some point towards the beginning of your visit. Watch the
Disney Parks Blog for an announcement of exact dates and ticket prices, which should be released this spring around March or April.
Jim, during your trip be sure to experience the
Epcot International Festival of Holidays. In previous years, there have been Holiday Storytellers in the pavilions telling the various holiday traditions of that country while nearby kiosks offer foods and drinks. Of course, my daughters love to pick up lots of sweet treats and fun drinks, like this past year's Buche de Noel au Chocolat and Frozen S'mores, to enjoy as they listen to the storytellers. Each evening, the
Candlelight Processional is held, featuring the Nativity Story as told by a celebrity narrator. Special event tickets are not needed to take part in these celebrations, but you can look into the Candlelight Processional Dining Package to reserve your spot in a special seating area. This dining package is usually not released until summer and will also be announced on the Disney Parks Blog.
I hope you have a magical day, Jim. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you continue to plan your holiday.
