Hi. Planning a trip to Disney World around ~12th Jan 2025 through 31st Jan. Wondering if there’s any update on when the skyliner will be shut (aware this was previously asked in March) Thank you!

Hi Chris! Thanks for coming back to planDisney. Your question is a good one. Knowing transportation availability is important in planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The Disney Skyliner typically closes for annual (scheduled) maintenance for about a week to ten days in January. When it's closed for maintenance, other temporary transportation options, such as Disney bus transportation, are available for Guests.

The annual maintenance dates for the Disney Skyliner for 2025 haven’t been released yet. As soon as the dates are available, they will be posted on the Disney Skyliner webpage on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Chris, my family enjoys visiting Disney's Riviera Resort! The Disney Skyliner is a favorite for us! We love how it feels like the first "attraction" of the day!

One thing that we know about Mickey is that he usually follows patterns or predictable timelines. For example, the Disney Skyliner was closed from January 16 through January 26 earlier this year. In 2023, it was January 22 through January 29. And, in 2022, the maintenance was from January 22 through January 28. You can anticipate similar timelines for January 2025.

Chris, keep checking the Walt Disney World Resort website! The maintenance dates will be included on the site soon!

    Dreams do come true!
