Hey Howdy Hey Teresa and welcome to planDisney!
It is so exciting to hear that you will be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth around the Thanksgiving holiday. There will be so much to experience during this time to bring the traditional feels of the holiday with you to the park. Before I get to sidetracked, let's talk about your ticket options first.
Many workplaces have benefits beyond the typical retirement, healthcare and such, as you mention with discounted theme park tickets. Typically, these are standard date-based tickets at a discounted rate available through your workplace or a third-party provider. If they have special terms, I would make sure to read the fine print of the terms and conditions just to see if there are any blackout dates associated with them. There should also be a phone number or email address for either your employer or the third party that your employer is affiliated with that will be able to answer the specifics for you. There are just so many subtle variations of tickets through employer programs that it is hard to give a definitive answer without seeing the offer.
Considering you will be in Walt Disney World Resort around the Thanksgiving holiday, I wanted to share a few places you will be able to enjoy a delectable Thanksgiving meal. In Magic Kingdom,
Liberty Tree Tavern cooks up a hearty traditional meal year-round. No matter the time you visit, you will be sure to experience some delicious food with a traditional Thanksgiving flare. This restaurant serves meals family-style for the table to share. Make sure you save some room for dessert as the Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake is a sweet way to finish off this fantastic meal.
The Dimond Horseshoe is another option available in Magic Kingdom just steps away from Liberty Tree Tavern. This restaurant offers a very similar menu as Liberty Tree and may be a good place to check if you do not find availability at Liberty Tree.
The other location you might want to look into is located over in EPCOT. The
Garden Grill Restaurant is a great choice for a hearty meal with the traditional Thanksgiving flavors. This location is a Character meal so you will be able to share this with Chip, Dale and some of their favorite pals. One of my favorite parts of this meal, aside from the food, is that it is a rotating restaurant overlooking
Living with the Land attraction. In Living with the Land, you will see an indoor garden where so much food is grown and Garden Grill is where you be able to taste the fresh produce! I
There are so many other great restaurants, attractions and experiences to check out for the holiday season and I urge you to keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for announcements of all the new things in the parks. You are also more than welcome to reach back out with any further questions, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
