Hi Ashley,
Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel so that we can join in your excitement as you're planning your visit to "The Most Magical Place on Earth!" I hope that you're having fun
planning and that you're already getting excited for all of the magic and fun you and your family are going to enjoy!
As my kiddos were growing older, we always measured height by Disney attractions. "Ooh...you're tall enough for The Barnstormer now!" or "You can finally conquer Space Mountain!" It was always fun when they reached a new milestone, but the great thing about a Disney vacation is that
most of the attractions can be enjoyed by everyone, so even when they were little, they never felt like they were missing out. Hopefully this
handy dandy list of all of the attractions and their height requirements will help you as you're planning. Keep in mind that if there's an attraction that your
little one is not quite ready for, you'll be able to take advantage of the
Rider Switch service so that everyone in your party who
is tall enough can enjoy the attraction without needing to wait in line twice.
When my Mouseketeers were little, we let them take a nap in the stroller in the early afternoon, and we used that time to enjoy the attractions they were too little for. Another suggestion I have for you is that there are some wonderful play places that little ones can enjoy, too. My kids' favorite one was near
Splash Mountain, but
Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station,
The Boneyard, and
The Seas with Nemo & Friends are all great places to play, too!
Ashley, please stop by and see us again if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
