Hi, planning a trip to Disney in march, how can I keep water cold in my cooler backpack if I can not bring in ice? Can I put ice in large ziploc bags? I will not be able to use a reusable ice pack because we are staying on Disney property.

    Hi Luke,

I'm super happy to hear that you're planning a vacation to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for next spring! It will feel AMAZING to escape to sunny Florida for some warmth, Disney magic, and FUN!

I'm also glad to hear that you're planning ahead! It sounds like you're already familiar with some of the recent changes regarding park rules, especially that loose ice will no longer be permitted in coolers. It's important to stay hydrated during a Disney vacation, and you are absolutely welcome to bring your own food and drinks into the theme parks, so I'd definitely encourage you to use a sandwich, quart, or gallon bag filled with ice to keep your water bottles cool and refreshing within your cooler. You could even use the bag inside the ice bucket in your Disney Resort hotel room if you need to! Just make sure that it's a clear bag so that everything inside it can be easily identified during security checks. Don't forget, too, that cups of ice and/or ice water are always complimentary at any food and beverage location if you need them.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Luke, and please feel free to come see us again if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation next spring!
