Planning a trip to Disney with 3 kids, ages 8,10,12. Not planning on using dining plan ( we have in the past)....my question is Can my 10 and 12 year children order from children's menu if they don't find something they like on adult menu?

Hi Jen! My son loves that Disney calls him an "adult," but he doesn't have any desire to eat the food on the adult menus! Thankfully, older kids are welcome to order their meals from the kids' menus if nothing on the adult menus appeals to them.  The restaurants at Disney World are very kid-friendly and eager to please. Even if your children's favorite foods don't appear on the kids' menu, they can often request and receive them, so don't hesitate to ask for the meals that they like best. My son has been able to order a grilled cheese sandwich at many Disney restaurants, even when it wasn't listed  as an option on the menu.

Of course, if you dine at fixed-price meals such as a buffet or a dinner show, you will be charged the adult price for your ten-year-old and twelve-year-old, even if they only eat kids' meals. For instance, at places like the Hoop-Dee-Doo and 'Ohana, my picky son is allowed to order a grilled cheese and french fries instead of the all-you-care-to-eat family-style meals served there, but we still pay the full adult fixed price for him.
