Planning a trip to Disney in 2019. I hope to purchase the 3 day FL resident pass if offered. I am debating between spending 3 consecutive days or breaking up the trip with 2 days, lodging on site, and a single day trip at a different time. Thoughts?

Hi Tanya and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m excited to hear that you have a plan in the works to visit the most magical place on earth, the Walt Disney World Resort!

Before becoming Disney Annual Passholders, my family and I would purchase the Florida Resident tickets. They’re a great value and are valid for six months after their first use, which works out great for your plan to go to the theme parks on two separate visits. My family and I have always liked weekend trips because they offer a nice break from the everyday routine and since we’re just three hours from Orlando, it’s a reasonable drive. It’s also a good way to spread out our magical time at the theme parks!

Honestly, you can’t go wrong either way. I have visited the parks on three consecutive days during trips and I have also used two days and saved the third for another time. My deciding factor has always been the weather.

As a South Floridian, my favorite times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort are during the first weeks of November and December to enjoy the beautiful fall and Christmas decorations and mild weather. I also like to visit anytime during the month of February because the weather is cool and in early May because it's still pretty mild and I love to experience the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. The butterfly gardens are my favorite part!

Tanya, either way you slice it, you and your family will have a great time! Don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any more questions!
