Greetings from planDisney, Theresa and welcome! I'm so glad you're hEAR planning your 2022 vacation to
the Walt Disney World Resort.
Theresa, while a bit overwhelming at first, planning ahead for your trip will ensure that you can enjoy all there is to see and experience at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Now, there are a few paths to get started. First, if you'd like some assistance, but still want to be in charge, you're welcome to ask as many questions as you'd like hEAR at planDisney while you book your own trip. I'll provide you a few links at the bottom to get you started if you choose this path.
Some guests who might want a little more direct help choose to use a travel agent. If this is the route for you, I highly encourage you to use an "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner" who has been "EARmarked" by Disney. A quick search will give you a plethora of options (all of whom should be free of charge). Just make sure whoever you choose has the distinction of "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner."
Theresa, regardless of your planning path, I find it helpful to first know some basics, so like Moana on an adventure, let's dive in!
If you haven't yet created a
My Disney Experience account, that is a great first step as all plans will be managed through this account. Once you've done that, I encourage you to start browsing through the
Disney Resorts Collection hotel options. Depending on your tastes and budget, there is something for every Mouseketeer! If you'd like specific recommendations, we would be happy to share our opinions as my fellow panelists and I each have our "favorites!"
If booking your own package, you'll begin by selecting your travel dates
HERE and then selecting a resort based on availability. You'll next be prompted to select park tickets as part of your package. You can choose standard tickets that allow for one park per day or upgrade to the
Park Hopper® Option which allows you to visit more than one park per day. Check out
THIS question and answer about park hopping. Once you've made a decision and selected park tickets... voilà! Like Princess Tiana would say, you're "
almost there!"
Before you hit the "purchase" button, please make sure to check park availability
HERE. Currently all guests are requested to hold
a (complimentary) reservation in addition to having a valid ticket to gain entry. After purchasing your package, Disney Park Pass reservations can be made through your My Disney Experience account, but you'll want to ensure availability prior to your purchase. If you didn't purchase your package while being logged into your My Disney Experience account, you'll need to
link your reservation to continue planning.
Theresa, I hope this helps as you're deciding how best to book your 2022 vacation. We'd be delighted to see you hEAR again at planDisney with any additional questions.
Wishing you a pixie dusted trip,
Lauren
