Hello all, I am planning a trip to Disney with my girlfriend to propose in December, would you all recommend the dining plan and at which level? It is just the two of us. Thank you.

    David,

    Congratulations!  How very exciting.

I do recommend the dining plan, as I believe that it takes a lot of the hassle out of planning and budgeting for meals.  However, advanced reservations are definitely needed.  Have you reserved the meals you'd like to enjoy?  If not, you need to do so now.  I would base my decision on what meal plan to purchase on how many meals you have reserved.

Generally, for first time visitors I would not recommend deluxe dining.  It's a lot of food and very luxurious experience, but it's more relaxing for repeat visitors.  For folks at DIsney for the first time, they may feel that they are missing out on the parks in order to eat!

No matter which dining plan you select, I would also recommend that you consider adding the wine and dine package.  It's a new offering that we really enjoyed.  This package allows you to order a bottle of wine for each night of your stay, which was great for a relaxing meal.  And romantic too, in your case, since you won't be traveling with 3 little ones in tow!  :)

    Good luck!
