I am planning a trip to Disney for the first week in September and I know it is going to be very hot. This will be my 2 old daughers first trip. She loves water and I was wondering if Typhoon Lagoon would be suitable for her.

There are special areas at both Disney water parks that are designed for younger children such as your daughter. My children always loved going there when they were preschoolers.

You can take a look at Ketchakiddee Creek, the children's area at Typhoon Lagoon, by going to the Moms Panel video pages. The link is at the top right of the page, right now it says something about Brad Garrett. Scroll through the videos until you find the one called Water Park Fun. I'm sure the video will give you a good sense of what to expect when you get to the park.

If you decide that you don't have time for the water parks, you should know that the pools at the WDW resort hotels are outstanding. All of them have baby pools and many have play areas for little ones. Additionally there are several play fountains in the theme parks that are a great break on a hot day. I would try to bring a change of clothes for your daughter when you visit the parks so that she dry off well after splashing in the fountains.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
