Mary Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am planning a trip to Disney in February and think the AOA looks fun. Will I be able to get into the parks an hour early, and if so, will I be at a disadvantage staying so far away like at the AOA as opposed to another Disney resort?

Hi, Mary! Yes, the new Art of Animation Resort participates in the Extra Magic Hours.  To find out which theme parks have the Extra Magic Hours (morning or evening), you can check out  Simply select the theme park you want to check from the menu at the top of the page. On the new page, select Calendar from the menu on the left. From the drop-down menu, choose the month you need to view, like February for you. When the calendar appears, the daily park hours and any Extra Magic Hours will be listed. To view the parade and nighttime event schedule, simply click on the numeral of the date you are interested in attending. Repeat for each of the parks. All of the magic is at your fingertips. Staying at this Resort puts does not put you at a disadvantage.  In fact, it is adjacent to one of our favorites, the Pop Century Resort.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
