    Planning trip Dec '10. Me, DH, DD (5), & 2 grandmas, getting Deluxe D so all meals taken care of but don't want to enjoy time in parks around ADR. Do you think 1st week of Dec would be ok not to ADR all meals? Just most popular & plz suggest those!

    April,

    I am always nervous advising someone to not get Advanced Dining Reservations for any table meals that they want to try out. But at the start of December you are dealing with a pretty light crowd, so you might be OK.
    The truth is, over planning can really ruin a trip, so definitely follow your instincts. Make Advanced Dining Reservations for thoseĀ "Must Do!" dining experiences, those select meals that you really want to ensure getting, and then allow yourself some room to improvise as your days develop.

    If I were with your travel group, here are a few meals I would make a point of gettingĀ ADRs for;

    • Cinderella's Royal Table
    • Crystal Palace
    • Chef Mickey's
    • Restaurant Akershus
    • Le Cellier
    • 50s Prime Time Cafe
    • Donald's Safari Breakfast
    • Hoop Dee Doo Review
    • Mickey's Backyard BBQ
    • Spirit of Aloha
    • Whispering Canyon Cafe
    • 'Ohana (for Dinner)
    Also, if you are looking for any fine dining (like California Grill or Jiko) you should make reservations then as well.

    Write me back with some of your food interests, and I can make some further recommendations, based on locations.

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
