Planning a trip and comparing resorts: Disney's Art of Animation, Disney's Pop Century, and Disney's Caribbean beach. All 3 skyline resorts? Early entry? Extra late night hours? Airport shuttles? Also, please compare breakfast choices.

    Angela,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

I love all the resorts you mention, in particular because they all have stops on the Disney Skyliner route!

With Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort, you are staying at Value Resorts. They are two of my favorite resorts in all of Walt Disney World, since they are conveniently located on the Skyliner and have some amazing decor. The Art of Animation is particularly interesting, as it offers some Family Suites, which could be the key to a great visit for larger families. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a Moderate Resort, and the Skyliner station there is the one that has direct routes to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Rooms at Moderate resorts tend to be a bit larger than those at Value resorts, giving you more space to spread out.

Guests of all three resorts do get to enjoy the Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests, but none are part of the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. That second perk is just for Deluxe resort stays. But don't let that dissuade you from staying at any of these great resorts. Their location, and those extra 30 minutes in a park every morning, make them great choices for most any family.

Next, you ask about airport shuttles. The Disney Magical Express of old is no more, but many companies in the Orlando area have started shuttles from the airport to Disney resort hotels. I have used Mears Connect several times now, and it has always been very efficient. It is the most comparable to the Magical Express service from years ago.

Finally, breakfast. All of these resorts have food courts that can serve up standard breakfast fare. I can't say that any one is better than any other, so consider this a tie when comparing the resorts.

    BOTTOM LINE
All these resorts are great. If you have a family of 5 or 6, the Family Suites in the Art of Animation are your best choice. Otherwise, you really should choose based on budget and any preference you have for one theme over another.

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
