We are planning a trip there from Aug 8-14, with 3 small children. I made all ADR and I am trying to decide how to fit in going to downtown disney. Which park is it closest to? I am thinking we could go there after a day at the park? Any suggestions?

Hey Michelle and thanks for the great question.  I will tell you, I personally love to go to Downtown Disney if we arrive in the afternoon on our first day.  It's a great way to get the kids excited about the week ahead , get them back in bed at a decent hour and then we are off.  Did I mention that I also love the shopping?  If that does not work for you, you can absolutely go one evening after a day in the park.  Not sure which resort you are staying in but you can either drive to Downtown Disney or use WDW transportation.  Another idea?  Stop by on your last day to make sure you haven't missed buying anything you just might need to remember your trip.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Mom's Panel, and I hope you have a very magical WDW vacation in August.
