Hi Vanessa!
I love the holiday season as well, especially at Walt Disney World! I visit every January during
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, so I can give you the scoop on what to expect in January.
Usually, Christmas decor starts coming down after the new year. However, I have noticed that the decorated Christmas trees, Mickey Mouse wreaths, and festive decorations are still up through the first weekend in January. Since you are visiting on January 4, you will likely get to still enjoy the Christmas decorations through January 8. When I was there last year, I was able to enjoy the
Christmas tree stroll at Disney Springs through the first week of January.
While events, such as
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the
Candlelight Processional, and the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will not be held in January, you can still enjoy holiday decor and merchandise. If you like Christmas, make sure to check out
Disney's Days of Christmas Store in Disney Springs, which is open year-round!
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
