Planning a trip in April 2014 to WDW. A few guide books have recommended doing character meals on your arrival or departure day. If we have breakfast at Cinderella's Castle, do we have to use one of our park entrance tickets or can you go for just the meal

How exciting you are planning a Walt DIsney World vacation in 2014, Missy!  This is a great question! Park admission is required in order to dine at Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom Park.

I also like to plan a Character Dining Experience on either our arrival or departure day at one of the Walt Disney World Resorts since we don't usually visit a park on those days. I have found that when we book our Character Dining Experiences on non-park days, we are able to go at a more relaxed pace and not feel like we are losing time in the park to ride attractions. With that being said, we have enjoyed two enchanting meals at Cinderella's Royal Table on days we were visiting Magic Kingdom Park. On our second visit to the popular dining location, we chose to dine at lunch, rather than breakfast, since we traditionally take the time to enjoy a table-service meal at either lunch or dinner. I hope this information is helpful! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Missy!
