Amy from IL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am planning a trip in April for Season of the Force and am hoping to get tickets for one of the Disney After Dark Star Wars nights. Are you able to tell me how fast these nights sold out last year? I really appreciate your help. Have a great day.

    Hello again, Amy!

Welcome back to planDisney! We're certainly happy to see you here again and appreciate you coming by. How exciting that you'll be visiting the Disneyland Resort during Season of the Force! One of my favorite attraction overlays is Hyperspace Mountain, which plusses an already exciting experience. But you'll also be able to view new scenes in Star Tours - The Adventures Continue!

In recent years, Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite has consistently sold out. It has become an incredibly popular after hours party. Usually, ticket sales open to Magic Key Holders first and then to the general public a couple of days later. Inventory for Magic Key Holders sold out within one or two hours. Tickets for the general public lasted a day or two but eventually sold out as well. For 2024, Star Wars Nite has been announced to be taking place on April 16, 18, 23, 25, 30 and May 2, 7 & 9, 2024 at Disneyland Park.

Last year, ticket sales began February 23, so be on the lookout for an update a few weeks prior to that. I would recommend following the Disney Parks Blog to keep on top of ticket sales announcements. The online queue typically opens no earlier than 9 a.m. PT so I recommend being online at that time and be prepared to check your place regularly because once you get through, you'll have 10 minutes to purchase your tickets.

Fun Fact: Star Tours premiered on January 9, 1987 when Disneyland Park opened its gates at 10 a.m. and, as part of the opening celebration, the Park remained open for the next 60 hours, finally closing at 10 p.m. on January 11, 1987. It replaced the Adventure Thru Inner Space attraction in Tomorrowland and cost $32 million. It was a critical success and would cement the Star Wars franchise as a part of Disney Parks history.

Amy, I hope the Force will be with you as you attempt to obtain Star Wars Nite tickets! I have a good feeling about this! If you need anything else from us, please write again anytime because we'd love to hear from you. Until next time.

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
