Hello, we are planning a trip. It is our 45th anniversary and we would like to take our children and granchildren to Disney World - a family of 7, a family of 6 and a family of 5. What resorts do you recommend for us. 2 at age 17, 10 ages 10 and down

    Hi Cyndy!

There are so many wonderful Disney resorts, its hard to pick one! With larger families, it is even harder.

If you are looking for family suite size rooms, Disney's new Art of Animation resort is top-notch. With brand new family suites that sleep up to 6, it can't be beat.

Or, if you prefer the larger families can request adjoining rooms at some other resorts. Some of my recommendations are.

In the value resort category, my recommendation is Pop Century. All of the Disney resorts are great, but we enjoy Pop Century's theme and layout. It also does not share buses with other value resorts as the All Star resorts sometimes do.  The pools at Pop Century are fun too.The main pool is even shaped like a flower!

If you're thinking of a moderate resort, my favorite resort in this category is Port Orleans French Quarter. Our family really prefers the smaller size of this resort. After a long park day, its nice to know that everything you need is just a short walk away at your resort. Plus, this resort just screams Romance to me - perfect for an anniversary trip!

One great addition to this resort is the queen-size beds that are new at the resort. This is a great if you're having to share beds with any kids! Plus, don't forget to sample some of the beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter!

And, last, the Wilderness Lodge is my favorite of all of the Disney Resorts. The Pacific Northwest theme, complete with totem poles and multi-story fireplace is magnificent. It feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Its location is top-notch too - it is just a short boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom.

    Hope this helps!
