Hiya, Esma! It's so nice to virtually meet you. Thanks for reaching out to us here at planDisney!
You are my type of planner. I'm always trying to strategize and maximize my plans. It's almost as exciting as being at the
Walt Disney World Resort! So let's get right to your question and break down the details so you can have the best plan possible. There's no need to stay in the Cave of Wonders. Let's bring the magic into the light!
While I love the way you're thinking and your head is definitely in the game, the 7-day booking advantage for
Lightning Lanes is directly tied to the dates of each specific hotel stay and/or ticket. If you book a stay from March 12th to March 13th at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you will have access to purchasing Lightning Lane Premier Pass seven days before your arrival date for
that stay only, for either March 12th or March 13th (or both). For your visit to
Magic Kingdom Park on March 19th, you'll have the opportunity to purchase Premier Pass three days before
that ticket's start date if you don't have a Disney Resort stay attached to the visit, or seven days before your arrival date for
that hotel stay if you do. Remember that no matter what day your purchase window opens, these passes currently go on sale at 7 a.m. EST.
Now, don't panic. I just opened the
My Disney Experience mobile app, and I currently have the option to purchase Premier Pass for Magic Kingdom for two or three days from now, and it's well past the 7 a.m. on-sale time at the time of writing this answer. While that's not a guarantee, it does show that these types of passes don't always sell out immediately. So make sure you are on the app a little before 7 a.m. EST when your purchase window opens. Click the "Lightning Lane Passes" tile and then the "Purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass" button exactly at 7 a.m. You'll also want to log in at least the day before to see if your date has sold out so you can make alternate plans, like purchasing a combination of Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass to secure available attractions. As
Genie would remind you, there's a great big world full of possibilities. Just have your backup plans ready to go, and the world is yours for the wishing!
Esma, I just know that you're going to have a great time at the resort. And even though
EPCOT is rapidly rising toward the top of my favorite theme parks list, Magic Kingdom Park will always have a special place in my heart and will likely never be dethroned as my number one. After all, there's nothing quite like visiting the lands of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
If you have any other questions or want to talk more strategy, I think you now know
I'm here for you. Your wish is my command!
Granting planning magic,
Matt
