We are planning to travel the week of August 15th through the 22nd. I was wondering what type of crowd levels we should expect that week??

    Hello Matt,

We're so excited that you have come to the Moms Panel with your trip planning question.  I  know here in Missouri, our kids are back at school in mid-August, so you just may be hitting the tail end of the summer crowds.

My go to site for crowd level information is easywdw.com.  I have used them many times and their information is fairly accurate. The website highlights which parks you should visit on any given day for optimal crowd levels.   They don't have August 2015 information available yet, but looking at those dates for last year, the park levels are around six or seven, with ten being the highest.

My park strategy during the busy times is to start out at the parks early in the morning, head back to my hotel in the afternoon, and then back to the parks in the evenings.  If crowd levels are high, consider spending a day resort hopping and exploring the shopping and restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. For those hot days in August, you can't beat splashing around in the water parks; Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach.

Hopefully this information has been helpful. Please come back and see us if you have additional questions.   Wishing you a magical vacation!
