Hi Jenni!
How exciting that you are visiting Walt Disney World in January! January is a wonderful time of year to visit because the weather is mild, crowds are low, and you can enjoy lower wait times for attractions! I visit every January for
Walt Disney World's Marathon Weekend. Since you arrive on January 9, you won't have to worry about crowds from the event because the marathon occurs on January 8.
You can rest assured that your daughter can still use her
youth ticket for children aged 3-9, even if she turns 10 during the trip. When you purchase your tickets online, you will be asked to enter your daughter's age, which should be her age on the first day of the vacation.
Don't forget to also make your
Theme Park Reservations. Each guest in your party will need to have valid admission and a theme park reservation to visit the parks each day. When you visit, try to make it to
Disney's Magic Kingdom. Your daughter will love
Cinderella Castle, "
it's a small world," and meeting
Mickey in Town Square! While you are in Town Square, stop by
Tony's Town Square Restaurant for amazing Italian food. You can make your advanced dining reservation 60 days in advance.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
