Hi, We are planning to travel to California in April and were thinking of spending a day at Disneyland. I want to make the most of our time their and was wondering how much planning should go into this? Do we need fast passes; character dinners?

Welcome to planDisney, Gina! California is so beautiful in the springtime, and I am so excited you want to take a day from your vacation and mosey on over to The Happiest Place on Earth! I will help you get started on this planning journey!

Gina, Disneyland Resort has two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. If you are okay with park hopping, I definitely suggest reserving a one-day ticket with park hopper. Start your morning off with a character breakfast hosted by none other than Minnie Mouse at The Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park! Honestly, there is no better way to start off a day at the theme parks than that, plus you will have an incredible view of Sleeping Beauty Castle! In the afternoon, head on over to Disney California Adventure which will be hosting its annual Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, and if you are like me, I love trying out new snacks and wines curated by the culinary teams at Disney! They always go above and beyond to provide an incredible experience. End your day with a delicious meal at Blue Bayou Restaurant before sailing the high seas on Pirates of the Caribbean!

Have a magical time visiting Disneyland, Gina! As Walt Disney himself once said, "to all who come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is your land".
