Hello! Am planning my third vacation to DW-this time celebrating high school graduation of my newly adopted daughter. Money is tight this year-have stayed previously at AK, Poly, and Beach Club. Will I be disappointed if we stay at Caribbean (moderate)

    Hi Bonnie.

What an amazing reason to celebrate, a new addition to the family and a graduation. There will be some differences between your previous resort choices and the Caribbean Beach, but I personally find those differences no reason to be disappointed in your upcoming choice.

Your previous resort choices were deluxe properties so the first thing you may notice is a slight difference in the room size. Typically moderate rooms are a little smaller than a deluxe room, however I still find them quite comfortable for two to four guests. You may also find a few differences in the offered amenities. Deluxe resorts may offer spas, health clubs, beauty salons, table service restaurants, whereas moderate resorts often offer minimal table service locations if any and no character dining locations. Lastly, you may notice a difference in location and transportation. Deluxe resorts are typically locate din the best locations (within walking distance to Epcot or Hollywood Studios or on the monorail line).

We've stayed at the Caribbean Beach a number of times and love the peaceful beach like setting. This moderate resort is the most centrally located moderate resort so the bus times will, on average, be a little lower than other moderates. The rooms have all been remodeled to offer either a Nemo ro Pirates of the Caribbean theme, and the main pool has also been remodeled with a fun pirate ship and slides. There is a great indoor food court with an open market feel. This is stillĀ a great resort choice and the few deluxe amenities not offered here were unnoticeable to us since we rarely use health clubs and spas during our vacations.

I am sure you will all have a fantastic time celebrating your family's special memories.
