I am planning our third Disney trip. We have done quite a few Character Dinners (CRT, Crystal) . I was wondering if there were any other dining experiences that you recommended....they don't necessarily have to have characters, just something unique.

Hi there, Sandy! Congratulations on your third trip to the World!

It sounds as if you've had some wonderful Character Dining experiences during your past trips. My family loves dining at Disney World - we always look forward to trying new dining venues as well as revisiting our favorite locations. I can certainly recommend some unique dining experiences for you to try on your upcoming vacation!

Here are some fun and unique dining spots for the whole family which include characters:

    • Be Our Guest in the Beast's Castle in Magic Kingdom (incredible new dining venue with an upscale quick-service menu and possibly a surprise visit by the Castle's Host!)
    • Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wildneress Resort
    • Chef Mickey's at The Contemporary Resort
    • The Garden Grill in The Land Pavilion at Epcot (the entire restaurant slowly ROTATES!)
    • 'Ohana at The Polynesian Resort (breakfast with Lilo & Stitch)
    • Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot
Now for some special dining experiences which don't include characters:

    • Dine with an Imagineer at The Hollywood Brown Derby or the Flying Fish Cafe
    • Dine with an Animal Care Specialist at Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village
    • Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Revue in Frontier Hall at Fort Wildnerness
    • Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show in Luau Cove at The Polynesian Resort
You can book any of these special Disney dining experiences online or by calling Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).

If you'd like an elegant adults-only dinner out, then Victoria and Albert's at The Grand Floridian resort is the place to go.

I hope I've given you some useful suggestions for new dining experiences to try on your third visit to Walt Disney World! Bon appetit!
