    I planning on taking my 8 year old granddaughter to Disney World; I don't know where to start; would like to stay close to Disney World; flying from Montana. Any suggestions or ideas to make this memorable for her?

    Hi Belinda! We at the Moms Panel have many tips for making this vacation special for your granddaughter. Let me begin by saying your trip will already be memorable for her just because you will be spending time together.

    I suggest watching vacation planning videos to familiarize yourself with Walt Disney World Resort. Also browse the various Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to get an idea of where you would like to stay and what type of Resort best fits your budget. Check out the Special Offers page to see what might be available during the time you would like to travel. When my daughters were your granddaughter's age they were all about interacting with their favorite characters, especially the Disney Princesses. In addition to meeting favorite characters in the Theme Parks, I suggest planning a Character Meal. 1900 Park Fare and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall are some of our favorites. Perhaps your granddaughter would enjoy a magical makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. For an extra touch of magic, consider Royal Guest Rooms at Disney's Port Orleans-Riverside Resort.
