I am planning on taking my girlfriend to Walt Disney World this summer. I want it to be an engagement celebration. I want to propose before the trip and want it to be Disney related. Any ideas how I can make a Disney theme proposal before the trip?

Hi, J!  There are so many ways to do this that would make it special and romantic!  For something totally classic, you could order online a glass slipper, replicating Cinderella's slipper.  You can find them in a lot of places, but if you go to the Disney Store website, they have one made by Arribas brothers that can be personalized with the date of your proposal and your names or initials.  You could build your evening around the slipper, maybe going to a nice dinner (maybe Italian, like Lady and the Tramp!) and popping the question over dessert.

Two of the most romantic scenes in Disney movies in my opinion take place in row boats.  There is a scene in the Little Mermaid, during the song Kiss the Girl, where Ariel and Eric are making goo goo eyes at each other, and she just knows they are meant to be together, and is practically willing him to kiss her.  Then there is a scene in Tangled where Rapunzel and Flynn are in a row boat on the water, and the beautiful lanterns begin floating into the dark sky.  She is singing I See the Light, and I just get goose bumps even thinking about it!  You could propose in a row boat - or even at the water's edge - while one of those songs plays on an iPhone or a CD.  You can also purchase those lanterns.  You could recruit some friends to release them at the moment you propose from around a lake or a pond.

Borrow music from your favorite movie, recreate a scene from her favorite Disney love story, and good luck!  I hope she says yes!
