Planning on taking a cruise with a Star Wars Day at Sea. Do all the children have a chance to do the Jedi Training? Can you sign up or do they have to be selected? I would imagine the spots are limited.

    Ahoy, Annette!

Your crew is in for an epic adventure when the Disney Fantasy celebrates Star Wars Day at Sea on your Caribbean cruise next spring. My family was blown away by this out-of-this-world experience when we cruised this past April, so I'm excited you've selected this particular voyage for your upcoming vacation.

Annette, there were many highlights that made this day unforgettable including the exclusive Character Greetings. Each of these experiences were ticketed and limited to a certain number of Guests, and I thought the process used for the 2017 sailings was very organized and fair. When we arrived in our stateroom on embarkation day, an "Experience Request Card" was left on our bed preprinted with our family name and stateroom number. One side of the card listed the five options and descriptions while the other side explained the instructions. Basically, you rank your preferences from 1 to 5 with 1 being your very first choice, and Disney Cruise Line will do their best to match you with at least one of your top three selections (each family is assigned two experiences). The activity you've asked about is one of these options-Jedi Training-Trials of the Temple. It is designated for Younglings ages 4 to 12 who are interested in confronting the dark side on the Walt Disney Theatre stage. If this is a must-do for your young Padawan, I strongly suggest listing this as your number one choice. The good news is that they usually offer about eight sessions during the day and only the Younglings will need a ticket, as tickets are not required to be in the audience. It's also important to turn in your request card by Sunday night to Guest Services so they can be delivered back to your stateroom the day prior to the day-long celebration.
