We are planning to surprise our kids (12 and 9) at Christmas that we are going to Disney World in April. We have bought a few things to put together in one box from Santa. I am wondering if you can think of any other fun ways that we can break the news?

    Hi Shani!

How much fun is it to be able to surprise them with a trip?!

Here are some other ideas which might help with the surprise:
    • Create your own Backyard (or inside) Scavenger Hunt. Have Santa leave the first present (maybe in a Disney style Christmas Stocking. Then start the hunt: at each stop along the way, leave a small Disney related item as a clue... I'm not sure what you've picked up already, but some things you could include would be a model car or plane (however you are traveling), a small Mickey plush or even a personalized Disney Gift Card. The Grand Finale, of course, is the big reveal of the trip.
    • Assemble a custom puzzle together. Upload a Disney photo to any of the stores or websites that will create a puzzle from your pictures. Let the fun begin as the photo slowly takes shape!
    • Create a custom Disney Card. Have Mickey himself deliver the big news!

Oh, and don't forget - be sure to be playing some great Disney music in the background. There are plenty of internet stations which broadcast theme park and Disney movie music for you to listen to!

Hope this gives you some ideas for a great Christmas surprise!
