We are planning a surprise birthday trip for our b/g twins 11th birthday first week of November. I would like to have a special birthday dinner on a non-park day. What resort restaurant would be fun for them?

    Hello Sarah,

How exciting to celebrate your soon to be 11-year old twins' birthday at Walt Disney World, they are in for magical and memorable birthday celebration. My family always makes it a point to have a non-park day and take time to enjoy the pool, Downtown Disney, Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course and all the other extra resort amenities Walt Disney World has to offer. As for a special birthday dinner, I have a couple of recommendations:

    1. Whispering Canyon Cafe (Disney's Wilderness Lodge)- This rowdy crew of Cast Members is sure to keep you and your family on your toes with some tomfoolery and downright knee-slapping pranks. With a feast of some good old home cooking your bellies will surely be full and happy and definitely ask for some KETCHUP!!!

    2. Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue (Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort)- This vaudeville show is one of longest running musical shows at Walt Disney World and has become a Guest favorite. Be entertained with the choreographic performances and comedic sketches of these talented performers while you dine on an all you care to enjoy menu of classic fried chicken, ribs and so much more. It truly is a family favorite.

    3. Mickey's Backyard BBQ (Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort)- If Mickey and his friends treating you and your family to a good old hoedown sounds like something for your twins then enjoy this picnic style buffet and fun toe tapping, country dancing, yee-hawing evening that will sure to leave a smile on your face.

Be sure to let your server know of their celebration and on the day of their birthday head down to Guest Services at your resort to receive a "Happy Birthday Button." Your children will receive special, "Happy Birthdays" from Cast Members all day.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and may your children have a Happy Magical Birthday Celebration while visiting Walt Disney World.
